Deep Diver

Deep diving is normally technical in nature and can be a part of recreational diving, technical diving, or surface supplied diving. Each of these diving have their own pre-mentioned depths. So if you are planning to become a deep diver then you need to first choose the depth that you would want to dive to. For example: in recreational diving, you can achieve a maximum depth of up to 40 meters or 130ft while in technical diving, you can dive to 100m or 330 feet. The world record for deep dive is 330m or 1,083 feet. Now does that make your adrenalin rush?

A deep diver is rated on the basis of the various methods of training, the equipments used, surface support and breathing gas levels.

There are many people who consider deep diving as dangerous or risky because of the following problems associated with it:

  • High oxygen toxicity
  • Nitrogen narcosis
  • High pressure nervous syndrome
  • Decompression sickness

But the truth is that if you take a course in deep diving then you will be better prepared for any eventuality.

Overview of the course

Like any diving course, deep diving has its own techniques and skills, if not more. Considered to be one of the toughest forms of diving activity, it involves the impeccable application of the concepts. Since the danger associated with this is aplenty, knowing the basics is very essential. A deep diver course will have a detailed overview of the diving technique so that you are able to plan and organize your dive. The equipments used in deep diving are quite different from basic open water diving and hence you will need to familiarize with the equipments.

Organizing a dive is the next toughest factor in deep diving. Planning a dive includes the selection of location and the reading of the conditions well. Any error in such readings will see you in some danger. So the course will brief out the various safety requirements and the planning strategies. Diving in the range of 18 to 40 meters, you will need to have a special technique and skill. The skills are adopted only by practice. Requirements for the course

To be eligible for the course, you need to be 15 years of age or more. An adventure diving certificate is necessary for enrollment.
