This course will teach the following basics:-

  8. Recovery techniques such as the use of lift bag. A lift bag is a balloon shaped object. When inflated this bag raises to the surface due to its buoyancy. If an object is attached to it, the bag can it unaccompanied to the surface or can be assisted by the diver.
  9. How to tie sturdy knots.

Scuba Gear:

A search and recovery diver utilizes the following equipment.
1. Standard diving equipment such as mask, fins, wet suit, buoyancy control device and a pressure reading device
2. A waterproof compass
3. A lift bag.

Course requirements:

You must be over 12 years of age. You must have an open water diver certificate and an advanced open water diver certificate.
