Wreck Diver is a specialty scuba course and will arm you with knowledge of scuba diving for airplane wrecks, ship wrecks and even automobile wrecks. Most common are shipwrecks and who knows you might find your own Spanish Armada somewhere deep down!

As a part of the wreck diver course, artificial diving sites are created by sinking retired ships. This course will feature scuba diving on the surface level, which means that a 40 meter dive from the surface and you will find yourself in a "light zone".

Overview of the course

During this Wreck Diver Specialty course you will develop important skills and learn the art of wreck diving. A certification from an esteemed institution like PADI or NAUI has a lot of value. The wreck diver course is safe and is supervised by experienced instructors. The course, to put it in a nutshell, consists of-

  1. Techniques, procedures, organization and planning of all types of wreck diving.
  2. Understanding the hardships of wreck diving and implementing the safety conditions.
  3. Learning to minimize the hazards and damage. Handling of equipments necessary for wreck divers.
  4. Planning and organizing the dives within the "light zone". Exploring the underwater wrecks and trying to analyze them. 
  5. Use of air supplies, lights and penetration reels and lines while wreck diving.

Requirements

There are some basic requirements that you will need to fulfill to enroll in the course like:
  • Minimum age for qualification is 15 years
  • A signed medical agreement is required
  • An Open Water Diving certificate or an Adventure Diving certificate is necessary
