Scuba fins are a necessity if you intend to go anywhere under water. They come in a variety of patterns like full foot paddle fins, split fins, force fins etc. Each type has its own advantages and you will have to choose the pattern deciding on the type of maneuvers you expect to perform underwater and the kind of load lugging as well. For example force fins are good for acceleration but aren't known for maneuverability. You can also go for longer free diving fins which are good for slow speeds.
