During an underwater dive it is a must that the bodys normal temperature be maintained. The wet and dry suits provide thermal protection and protection against stings, cuts, scrapes and abrasions during the dive. The suits are selected according to the temperature of water and level of activity. Wet suits are preferred when the water temperature is around 78 to 90F(28 to 32C) and it keeps the body warm by trapping water against the body. Dry suits are used below 72F (22C) which maintains temperature with insulating air space between layers. Skin suits, shorties suits, full length suits, semi dry suits, dry suits are the available types to choose from. |
